Our mission
CrochetMetrics.com turns crochet into exact numbers. We build free tools that answer the questions every crocheter asks: how much yarn will I need, which yarn can replace the one in my pattern, how do I adapt a pattern to my gauge, and what does this stitch abbreviation mean in my language?
What we build
- Calculators and converters that run in your browser, on your phone, while you crochet.
- A yarn database with technical specifications and substitutes ranked by a transparent Match Score.
- A stitch dictionary with abbreviations in US, UK, Spanish, German, French and Portuguese terms.
How we work
Every tool page explains its formula and methodology. Yarn data comes from manufacturer labels and public product information, and we correct it as soon as someone reports an error. Our recommendations are calculated from technical data, never from affiliate commissions.
